EICF 2026 Industry Visit : Advance Aerospace Manufacturing
Due to high demand, the visit to CATEC has reached its maximum capacity (50 participants) and registration is now closed.
Advanced Manufacturing in Seville: From Research to Industrial Application
As part of the programme in Seville, delegates will have the opportunity to visit CATEC (Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies), a reference centre in Europe for the development and industrialisation of advanced manufacturing technologies for the aerospace sector.
In this environment, the focus is clearly on industrial application. Technologies are developed, tested and validated with a direct objective: integration into production. CATEC works closely with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring that new processes meet the requirements of repeatability, certification and scalability.
The visit will provide insight into key areas such as additive manufacturing, automated production systems, robotics, non-destructive inspection and process control. Particular emphasis is placed on how these technologies are implemented to improve productivity, reduce variability and ensure consistent quality in high-performance components.
CATEC illustrates how innovation is structured to support industrial needs, bridging the gap between development and production. It reflects the increasing importance of process stability, digitalisation and automation in meeting the demands of aerospace programmes, where delivery, reliability and performance are critical.
This visit complements the overall programme by placing investment casting within the broader context of advanced manufacturing, highlighting the direction of the industry towards greater control, integration and industrial efficiency.
